ED ROYCE ENDORSES
ALLAN MANSOOR FOR STATE ASSEMBLY
(COSTA MESA, CA) – U.S. Representative Ed Royce, a prominent advocate of fiscal responsibility and government accountability, today announced his endorsement of Costa Mesa Mayor Allan Mansoor for California’s 68th State Assembly District.
“Allan Mansoor is concerned about California’s out-of-control spending,” explained Royce. “Under Allan’s leadership as mayor, Costa Mesa passed a balanced budget and lived within its means,” continued Royce. “Allan’s proven record of fiscal responsibility will certainly be a welcome change to Sacramento’s practice of financial abandon.”
“Ever-vigilant of protecting taxpayers’ dollars, Ed Royce has consistently advocated for limiting government spending. Whether it’s fighting against the recent overhaul of our healthcare system or voting against the recent string of government bailouts, Ed has voiced strong opposition time and again,” stated Mansoor. “I appreciate his support as I seek to fight the fiscal insanity that has overtaken our state government .”
Mansoor is a former Orange County Deputy Sheriff and has served three terms as mayor of Costa Mesa. He is the Republican candidate for the 68th Assembly District currently held by Van Tran who has termed-out. The 68th Assembly District includes Costa Mesa, Fountain Valley, and parts of Anaheim, Garden Grove, Newport Beach, Stanton, and Westminster.
