Today’s meeting is currently discussing field allocations and plans to improve the fields. The city of Costa Mesa and the Parks and Rec will be reviewing the joint use areement and discuss how we are currently spending the $190,000 a year to the school district for the use of their fields. Many ideas are being discussed while there are no current plans to make any drastic changes.
As a member of the Costa Mesa Youth Sports Council, I attend these regular meetings to keep current as to the needs of our sports community. I regularly take this information to share with my fellow Costa Mesa Parks and Recreation Commissioners to keep them informed of current sports needs.
Next stop for tomorrow is the Costa Mesa United Meeting tomorrow morning. We will be discussing the success of the Mesa Verde Golf Classic held last month. I will post important information shared at that meeting tomorrow.
