After more than 600 water balloons thrown at me, I think I will have nightmares for weeks!
Today we held the swing-thon at most of the Costa Mesa Schools including the one I was at; Davis Magnet School. Special thanks go out to Dr. Rafferty-Davis Principal, Dena Fischer -Davis PTA President, Katrina Foley- Costa Mesa Council Woman, West Wing from Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, to all the super friendly staff from Costa Mesa Parks and Recreation including Jana Ransom.
Now that I got my thanks out of the way, we are still totaling all the money raised and I can tell you it was a lot of money! Costa Mesa is a wonderful place to live and you really appreciate it like I do when the community comes out to help! It is really touching to be in a city that cares so much about taking care of its’ kids.
Next step is for us all to attend the Costa Mesa City Council Meeting June 15th at 6pm to rally support in saving the ROCKS program from being cut from the budget. Here are some picks from the day, speaking to all the school this morning, Pic with PRC Staff, Pic with West Wing,
