The Police Department is proud to announce the launch of its new online reporting system, which allows citizens to make reports from the convenience of their home. The online reporting system is designed to take reports for the following incidents:
Annoying / Harassing Phone Calls
Identity Theft / Fraud
Hit & Run
Lost Property
Non-Injury Traffic Accidents
Petty Thefts
(value of property below $950)
Vandalism
Thefts from Vehicle / Vehicle Burglaries
(value of property below $950)
The public will be able to access the system by going to the Police Department’s website at: www.costamesapd.org. On the Department’s website homepage there is a link “Online Reporting”, which will take the citizen to the system’s prompting page.
Individuals will only be able to make reports for the above incidents if there is no suspect information and the citizen has a personal email.
The online reporting system provides the community with an alternate means of reporting, with the option of still making reports by requesting an officer or at the front desk of the Police Department
